F | 原则上每周召开一次 作为研究生培养的必要环节，每个师门的组会各有各的规定，但随着研究生培养质量管理的日益规范、严格，近年来，不少高校对召开组会内容、组会方式以及监督与激励机制作出规定，以确保导师和学生不缺席组会，为每周的导生交流时间划定最基本要求。 新疆大学马克思主义学院在2023年度哲学学位授权点质量建设年度报告中提到，学院进一步完善培养机制，要求导师严格落实每周组会制度。长春师范大学部分学院在研究生培养方案中表示，导师每学期组织召开至少8次组会。 从北京交通大学、青岛大学、山东大学等高校规定来看，每周一次组会是大部分高校的基本要求，北京交通大学、哈尔滨工程大学、曲阜师范大学则规定至少每两周一次。
G | 组会内容上，各校规定也做出了更明确的引导。组会应聚焦学术前沿动态、研究课题进展、论文撰写指导及科研难点突破。河北经贸大学也鼓励跨学科、跨团队联合举办学术交流活动，提高学术规范与创新思维培养。 同时，对组会实行量化考核，组会的质量、学生的参与次数、导师的指导都将影响到学生的评奖评优、答辩资格评定以及对导师的考核。 例如湖北汽车工业学院汽车工程学院规定，一学年内无故不参加小组讨论会3次以上且无标志性成果，取消申报当年的一等、二等国家奖学金及其它优秀奖学金的资格。
H | 青岛大学医学部明确，多次出现组会报告成绩不及格、评价较差的研究生，且未能整改的不得进行开题、中筛及论文答辩。
